Crazy driver 3877

I had been a regular driver ever since we bought our off peak car in August 2006. After I collided into the rear of a car due to slippery roads on a rainy night not long I got my new car, I had been a cautious driver since, or in fact, I had developed a phobia into coming to a traffic stop. I had also developed a habit of braking earlier than most people will upon traffic lights. I wouldn't say I am kayu, I am just being careful.

After driving for 2 years plus now, I had the most bizarre experience last night. I was driving along PIE at choa chu kang area on the way back to tampines after picking boy up from work. I was on the first lane, traffic was slightly heavy, there were many cars. Suddenly, this convertible Mercedes driving behind me beamed at me as if trying to get me to fuck off the lane and I was like: "wtf, can't he see traffic is heavy?"

Boy getting pissed sitting beside me, winded down the window and wave at him. The driver reacted like we were trying to pick a fight, acted like some big time hooligan, horned at me several times. When I switched to the second lane, he switched to the third lane, and cut me on purpose, doing e-brake at the same time, trying to get me to collide into his rear, he did that about 3 times, but I was prepared to brake hard at any time when he comes near.

After travelling in front of me for a short distance, he stopped his car by the road shoulder and waited for me to pass by him, he tail gated me all the way home till we exited tampines. Even when I purposely stayed at the 3rd lane travelling slowly behind a bus, he followed suit and stayed closely behind.

I had never met such a crazy driver before, during the journey while he tail gated me, I was thinking if he will go to the extent of colliding into our car to get revenge, but of course that is a stupid thing to do. But revenge for what? What did we even do at the first place? Because he waved at him? i think he is probably drink driving.

We headed to our neighbourhood police station and he is smart to turn away before the traffic light.

To the driver: I hope you don't die of traffic accidents because of your acts, and so what if you drive a mercz.

School Update 20-24 Apr

For Practical life exercise, the children were given the Dressing Frame for zipping exercise. They were shown how to zip and unzip on the dressing frame. After the presentation, Caden walked towards his bag and with a big smile confidently unzipped it. Dexton follow suit saying “bag” to himself as he unzipped the zipper. To unzip is an easy task to most of the children but zipping can be a challenge to some of them.

We introduced the colour ‘purple’ to the children. They were shown objects such as eggplant, Barney’s bag, purple flower, and leaves. Thanks to Dylan and Dextons’ mum for bringing some of the purple items to use as the teaching aids. When given purple paint, the children spontaneously made strokes and dots. They were quick to display their flair for artistic expressions. Kudos to our artist!

We introduced the concept of big & small. The children were given both big and small balls to compare. To reinforce the concept of small, the children entered into a dry pool filled with small balls, everyone started to pick up the balls and said ‘small ball’ to one another. There were merriment and laughter as the children picked and threw balls at each other but for the teachers the hard work was picking up after their fun.

The children had water play on Monday. After last week’s experience, they were more adapt and many more were willing to enter into the pool. Ryan and Wee Ren hopped into the pool without hesitation. Hurray!

Bugis

After leaving Dylan with celestine, I left for the central mall to meet up with clement and khoo. After khoo left at 10 pm, we headed to bugis for window shopping I guess.

SO cute right! (I am definitely not refering to the man who stands in the middle)

We walked the whole of bugis village to find a ear ring he wants to buy, $9 is too expensive for ONE ear ring la!

The new mall at bugis - we couldn't find the name of the mall

We visited the arcadia, clement spent $8 to try pick one of these soft toys but never succeed, I seriously think these machines are out to cheat people money

Shadow art

Breko cafe, pass by only, maybe next time can come sit la kopi

Crystal jade

It is so nice of my colleague to give us girls a lunch treat at crystal jade. We took his new car, a white mitsubishi lancer to tampines mall to have lunch. I like the new leather his car have, it feels so luxurious, spacious and comfortable

Actually I felt like eating the century egg porridge but seeing all of them ordering the same thing, I ordered salted fish with dice chicken fried rice instead

Luckily jayne likes egg tarts too, or else there's nobody to share it with me

Beancurd roll & si ji dou?

Nai huang bao - linda's favourite, I like it also but its not easy to find nice ones around

Roasted duck and pheonix claws

Aiya now then I realise I didn't take photos of them.

Sakae

Boy says he hasn't had sakae for some time, so together with ah yi and ah tung, we popped down at century square's sakae for a feast.

All time favourite for dylan, boy and me - chawanmushi

Ah yi ordered this weird looking fish, boy and I will never touch this

Cheesy chicken, boys says the cheese + mayo is nice, but the chicken has no taste at all (personally I like this, I wonder how he wants the chicken to have more taste)

Tempura ice cream, spotted this in the menu, I don't remember ever seeing it in the past, anyway boy says the strawberry sauce spoils it, and I think the so call tempura or rather the outer layer that covers the ice cream is tooooo thick, I felt like I am eating some bread with ice cream, anyway the price is really worth this big piece

Poor precious

Sorry if the following pictures gross you out, taken by rujie at the vet. Poor precious (rujie's soulmate, man's best friend) is suffering from some skin infection, suspected to be caused by her liver. If I didn't remember wrongly, precious is born in 2002, I haven't seen her for a long time already, I remember her as a bubbly and excited lovely dog, she would always come pouncing on people and scratch me with her sharp claws, leaving me with red claw marks on my legs.

Hope she get well soon, god bless her

Swimming lesson

Boy suggested swimming again, he said it is a healthy lifestyle, this is the 3rd time of the month. We had previously bought a bathe robe, a ring float, and a pair of arm float for Dylan at tom and stefanie. After letting Dylan try both floats, we found that he's more comfortable with the ring one. We took him to the learners' pool where he can't reach the pool floor, and we start teaching him to swim. During the swim, I fantasize Dylan being a great swimmer when he grows up, or at least he shouldn't lose out to his parents I think. Hahaha.

Learn swimming

Help!

He is not afraid of going down

Destroyer

Dylan had somehow learned how to climb up a chair and sit himself, so as to reach my keyboard, maybe he wants to learn typing

This is the result of learning typing

Most likely is to destroy the keyboard, to pluck out all the keys

And he still can smile cheekily at you when you scold him

School update 13-17 Apr

For Practical life exercise, the children were shown the Dressing Frame with Large Button. They were shown how to unbutton and then button all the large buttons on the dressing frame. It proved to be a great challenge to them!

We introduced the letter sound ‘r ’ as in rabbit and Ryan. The children traced the sandpaper letter r while sounding the letter. They were able to utter the sound ‘r’ after the teacher. When the teacher first introduced ‘r’, ‘r’ for Ryan, the children found it amusing and giggled among themselves.

We introduced the shape ‘rectangle’ to the children. The children were shown rectangular objects in the class. And the most exciting moment was when the teacher introduced the rectangular biscuit to them. The children spontaneously said ‘rectangle’ loud and clear. Well done!

The children had their first water play this term. Some were excited and some didn’t want to go into the pool. Mohin, Natalie & Dylan enjoyed themselves splashing away in the water. Caden, Caleb, Markus & Dexton were a little hesitant in the beginning, but decided to join in and had much fun too.

The rest who still refused to enter the pool watched from the side. Perhaps they would take the courage to dip in during the next water play session.
