Vesak day

It's a holiday so we can drive out, went to mummy's work place for dim sum, together with Rujie. The 3 of us finished so much food:

Forgot to take the pcitures of desserts, damn. After eating, Rujie left, boy and me left for Marina Square to walk. We were pretty sleepy by then because we seldom wake up so early.

The aquarium @ Marina Square

Went to Kiddy Palace to look at baby prams:

Combi model, light weighted and easy to keep but very expensive at $389

Cheapest model I found, Baby 1st model on offer at $129

About the same as the above model, less bulky when compared, cost $219

After less than an hour of window shopping, boy was too tired to carry on, we went to the food court for a drink and waited till mummy knocked off from work. She called and went to pick her up. Went to Tampines market (Block 201) to buy some pots and pans and a clothes hanger to hang nappies in future:

Food court dinner

Usually we don't eat out, mummy will tabao for dinner everyday. But she went for mahjong session yesterday at 3rd aunt's place so we will have to take care of dinner ourselves. Actually we wanted to go swimming at her place but boy 'forgot' to sleep at night, he end up in bed at 2+ pm and slept till 7.30 pm, he didn't have the strength to swim in the end. We went to Eastlink food court at Tampines interchange for dinner at 9 pm.

My ban mian - 'you mian', less mee, less meat, more vege~
Rating: 6.5/10 (the chilli is no good, very watery, spoils the rating)

Fried fish soup
Rating: 8.5/10 (big fish pieces, and the soup is great)

I think the auntie over-charge us, these 2 items cost $8 altogether? I don't know how boy count also, he never check... Boy was ultra hungry cause he haven't really eat anything for the whole day, he had a chicken cutlet rice with the fish soup.

Boy saw this familiar guy walked past and asked me if I know who he is. I turned around and realised it's Marvin (don't know if I recognise wrongly or?), quickly turned and looked down into my bowl of ban mian (I nearly buried my whole face into the bowl, haha). I am not in the state to see anyone, not in my makeup, wearing specs, hair in a mess... I can only let boy see this ugly state of me, hope boy didn't find me yucky, haha...

Painful day

Woke up at around 12+ pm today and got this bad contraction pain that left me bed-ridden for the rest of the day. The pain went on till about 3 pm before I got boy to call my gynae. The nurse asked me to go down for a check up immediately. My gynae wanted to admit me to the hospital to monitor my condition but I rejected. My next check up is suppose to be next week but last minute changed to today because of the pain (or else I would have to pay for the non-arranged consultation fees cause I pre-paid for all sessions already). Anyway the pain left me paying for $149.80... aww... heartpain together with the contraction pain...

Did the test to see if my cervix is open, luckily is not because the baby is still too small. Dr. Heng gave me some medications to help relax the pain. Currently I still have the pain going on but is irregular, doctor advise = no going out till my next appointment scheduled at 2 weeks later and lie in bed after medication (the medicine will make me heart beat faster so no exercising allowed).

Dr. Heng is too busy talking that she didn't explain to us what the ultra scan pictures are. I assume this is the side view of the baby's head. Baby is now weighing at 1.6 kg, doctor say baby must at least be 2 kg and above to come out.

KFC dinner

To clarify, KFC is not a affordable meal for me. This is mummy's treat, KFC for dinner yesterday.

I told boy I want 2 thighs (I only take chicken thigh and boy only take ribs for KFC), but ended up the order got mixed up and I end up with 1 thigh and 1 rib (eeks, I hate ribs...)

Cheese fries with extra cheese (50¢), cheese fries are my favourite but not the extra cheese - I think is too fattening - is boy's favourite, he never fails to get extra cheese for himself

Whip potato - I only like the brown sauce not the potato (applies to KFC only)

A day before mom's day

Arranged yesterday to go for curry fish head dinner @ Sembawang for mother's day occassion. Just while we are on the way back home, nearly got a shock when mum called and told us she's going to Tan Tock Seng Hospital A&E. Said she got a chest pain leaving her breathless. Asked her to wait for us and we went for dinner first (had taken some medicine and is still feeling alright) just beside grandma's place @ Ang Mo Kio block 232.

Fried fish soup (from the fish soup stall)
Price: $4.50 per bowl (additional $1 fish - quite expensive I think)
Rating: 7/10 (would have score better if it is not so expensive)

The rest of the dishes here are from the zi char stall.

Sweet & sour pork
Price: $8
Rating: 7/10 (very crispy)

Broccoli with scallop
Price: $20 !! <-- definitely too expensive

Rating: 7/10

Teochew style steamed fish
Price: $26
Rating: 6/10 (the gravy not so tasty)

Claypot tofu
Price: $8
Rating: 6/10 (not really that fantastic)

Sent mum to TTSH A&E, we waited for about an hour outside while mum went for checkup, took her temperature, blood pressure, blood samples, x-ray, ECG etc. Boy woke up at 8.30 am in the morning so was feeling worn out and fell aslp while waiting. We left after about an hour of waiting because the nurse told us that we would have to wait 4 hours for the results of the blood samples. Mum called awhile later and said she can go home because the doctor says there's no bone fracture so she is alright.

Went to meet moo at her house to see Berry and we proceed to JB for car wash and lok lok supper.

After eating, we came to this ulu shell station for petrol (stole this 2 pictures from moo's blog)

After we sent moo home, we passed by this place and decide to go in have a look:
Green Valley Farm @ Bah Soon Pah Road (beside Khatib camp)

There is a cafe here called Green Valley Cafe. They have a 30% discount for all food & beverages (excluding alcoholic beverages) because they are newly opened.
Operating hours:
Sun to Thurs - 6.30pm to 1 am
Fri to Sat - 6.30 pm to 3 am (including eve and public holidays)

Waffle with ice cream
Price: $3.15 (after 30% discount, actual price is $4.50)
Rating: 6.5/10 (not very nice - waffle seems to be those frozen type and is quite hard but luckily it is not expensive)

Didn't manage to take the whole place because the place is very dark and not that well lighted, will bring moo to this place when I have the chance. Nice place to sit down drink and talk.

Jiayi bought a mother's day gift worth $168, and this year unfortunately I can't afford any present. I couldn't afford to share this gift with her. As for the dinner, I cracked my brain thinking where to find the money to pay and mummy said since I am not working, she will pay then and gave me a huge relief. Sometimes things just doesn't go the way you hope and want it to be. Look what Jiayi is telling me now, she is asking me to pay half of the dinner now cos mum went back on her word??? And when I told jiayi that I got no money now and will have to wait till boy got money, she blew her top and tell me I am SELFISH. Because I can afford to go for nice dinner with boy and not having the money to celebrate mom's day. If you really want that $30 back so badly from a 'no-income-pregnanted-debt-collector' then come and dig my coins, the only money I probably have left right now. You think I like things are the way now? You think I wish I like to owe you? You think I like it and is very happy with life now owing everyone? Go ahead and tell everyone that I have no brain and DON'T KNOW how to think. And thanks for adding on to my problems.

Supper @ Tampines 742

Went for supper at this coffeeshop we never been to at block 742 along avenue 9. That time when we drove past the place after midnight, it seems there are many stalls open. We were very disappointed when we can only find 2 stalls open yesterday night, 1 selling noodles and 1 selling fish soup. Rujie and boy tried the fish soup and only to discover the soup not only have no taste and is also very small bowl, wasted $3 for that. Will never patronise this coffeeshop again (erm maybe we shouldn't condemn other food stalls).

Fei siong minced meat noodle
Price: $3
Rating: 6.5/10 (so-so only)

Dinner @ Loke Woh Yuen

Boy went to work today (only 1 day), I sent him to work before I headed back to my home. Stayed till about 7 pm before boy called and asked me to pick him at 7.30 pm. Went to this vegetarian restaurant as it was nearby the place he worked.

Loke Woh Yuen Vegetarian Restaurant
Address: 20, 22 Tanjong Pagar Road Singapore 088443
Tel: 6221 2912
Opening hours: 11 am - 3 pm, 5.30 pm - 9 pm

Mock char siew wanton noodle
Price: $8 (2 serving)
Rating: 8.5/10

Sweet and sour pork rib
Price: $10
Rating: 8.5/10

Deep fried cereal coated abalone mushroom

Price: $12
Rating: 8/10

Chrysanthemum tea
Price: $1.50 per head (freeflow)
Rating: 5/10 (abit tasteless but still we always order this whenever we come here)

The serving of these ala carte dishes are not very friendly, I think they should have give us an option for smaller portion. The 2 of us have difficulty finishing the dishes. Still, overall this restaurant is worth visiting, they serve very delicious and good vegetarian food that you will not realise they are actually vegetarian.

This week

Boy had a not-so-nice birthday I would think. We didn't have any celebration and he didn't even have a birthday cake. We only went to a nearby coffeeshop to have dinner and that is all. How sad, I didn't even give him a birthday present. Just a day after his birthday, he fell sick and had a high fever of 39.3 degree celsius. Brought him to the doctor after 3 doses of paracetamol doesn't work for the fever.

After nearly a week of staying at home, I really wish we can go out (Friday night). Went to meet Jacob and Rayn for supper at Jalan Kayu. Supper here is very expensive.

My plaster (the egg smell good but too bad it is broken)
Price: $1.50

Super big bandung
Price: $1.50

Jacob's friend took us to a super duper ulu fishing pond in yishun that even I do not know its existence, near block 400+. We had to travel inside the forest for about more than 2 km and due to the uneven road, I couldn't take it and we gave up half way in. The road made me so giddy and I nearly puke. The uneven road made me really sick and the journey inside is VERY dark and scary. Luckily boy could understand that I am not in my best condition to travel such road and give up and made a u-turn back. When finally we are out, it was already 3 am and we made our to JB for petrol and a second dose of supper, just right beside the place we always had 'lok lok'.

Dry kway tiao
Price: 5 RM
Rating: 7/10

Came out at about 4 am and it is 5+ am by the time I reached my sweet bed.
