This company called me last week, telling me I won a complimentary makeover photo shoot whereby I am entitled to take back 2 favourite pictures. Everything is FOC, including the make-up, to choose from their studio wardrobe, and of course the 2 pictures. I was puzzled if this is a hoax, and I will be cheated of my money and time when I get there. I decided to find out determined that I will not get cheated no matter what they say. So at the end, I found out this is a company doing makeover photo shoots, from individual to family photos, and also bridal services. After the photo shoot, they recommended us a photo shoot album package that cost about $3304, they offer also other benefits which I think is worth it, but of course we can't afford it. We just kindly reject the nice offer, and leave with our 2 pictures.

Ah! That is an awful experience, come to think of it, I did sense the guy frowning after I kindly reject their offer, but overall the experience is nice, I m lucky they didn't force me or rebuking me after hearing my rejection.

Hi..today is 15th June 2010. Thousands of customers of NBYN have been cheated with the closure of NBYN. Over the weekend the owners had shut their doors. There is now a huge stir. I am also a 2008 customer who bought a near $4.5k package. OMG what am I going to do now???

I'm one of them too who signed up 3K package! Went to their office yesterday and it's no longer there. I got to know that the office shifted to 4A Craig Road but am not sure how true is that. Any suggestions on how can we get to these people or best still to get this matter to case??

Wow I've just been reading all these stories about NBYN and am soooo glad they've shut down last year! I used to WORK for them and they were really horrible people. The 2 bosses, one is an Indian Singaporean and another, a South African. They also have a young guy Eddy, a British.

I remembered clearly once, there was an old Malay couple who came to the studio, I guessed after being called by the company's telemarketer. They didn't look well off. They were just the normal makcik and pakcik you'd see on the streets. I noticed the makcik even brought her own outfit. Looking at them, you can imagine their eagerness to try a new experience so called promised by NBYN.

One of the directors told me to send them away and I asked why. He said something along the line of them not being able to afford the albums and he wasn't nice about it. I was so shocked, I mean they came, with their own outfits on the hangers all excited yet uncomfortable.

I told my director I couldn't do it and he sent someone else to do it. I just took a walk and cried. They were heartless and that couple could be anyone's parents! Needless to say, after being humiliated, they left. It was a scene I'd never forget.
