School term 3

Hello Daddies and Mummies, here we are marching into Term 3! In Term 2, we even celebrated Mother’s Day where we had parents participating in making cookies with their children,then in June, we celebrated Father’s Day at the Bollywood Farm. Thanks to all parents for taking time off to participate in the events!

Practical Life
Practical Life Materials
Montessori practical materials are designed from simple to complex, to prepare the children for future learning. It auto-educates with control of error in the materials themselves rather than in the teacher. This control of error guides the child in the use of the materials and permits him to recognise his own mistakes. We’ll be focusing on the following areas for next term.

Exercises in Social Grace and Courtesy emphasizing on:
- Able to say ‘Please’ , ‘thank you ‘, ‘good morning’.

Exercises in care of environment emphasizing on:
- Able to keep the materials after used

Exercises for development of gross & fine motor skills;
- Transferring
- Dressing frame
- Threading
- Self help skills


The 5 basic senses are; Visual, Auditory, Tactile, Olfactory (smell) and Gustatory (taste).


We’ll be focusing on the followings;
- Dimension
- Colour box
- Textile exposure


Sensorial
Sensorial Materials
The Sensorial materials provide a basis for learning in an orderly manner that is needed for neurological and physiological development. It also prepares for intellectual development in an orderly manner.
