This week, the letter sound is ‘p’ as in panda and puppy. The children were given the ‘large picture card’ of the panda and we talked about the colour, the habitat and the diet of the panda. The children also did a paper bag panda.
In Mathematic , the children were given the number rods and sandpaper numeral to count and identify the written symbol 1 to 3. Although most of the children had not develop the ability to talk yet, most of the children were able to point to the sandpaper numeral when requested.
The children were given edible flower such as broccoli and cauliflower to observe. They looked at the cauliflower but could not recognise it. When they were given the brocoli to feel and smell they appeared to recognise that it is indeed a flower.
Mummies, I think our toddlers have been eating more broccoli than cauliflower at home. This is good choice, broccoli is good for us. Dylan had been a helpful boy. He helped to clear up after the lesson.
For Sensorial exercise, we continued with the perception of touch. The children were brought outdoor, and they did texture rubbing on the drain cover and brick outside the school compound. As usual, they did not like the feeling of the rough surfaces.
