Mathematics
We also introduced the number rods and sandpaper 7, the children were asked to count the red and blue number rods. After some encouragement from the teachers, several of the children bravely count along with one another! Markus and Caleb could count and say the numbers in sequence.
Song of the week
It’s a sunny day, it’s a sunny day, it’s a sunny, sunny day.
We can go outdoor, we can play football, it’s a sunny, sunny day.
Art & Craft
Since the children learnt about the letter sound ‘t’, they had much fun doing toilet roll stamping as part of the follow up lesson. They love exploring with the colours and get to experience stamping on their own by using the recycled item.
Show and tell session
To make the lesson for the letter sound ‘t’ more interesting, Ms Yana encouraged the children to bring a favourite toy to school for show and tell session. Thanks to Wee Ren, Markus, Edric and Caleb for bringing their toy along to share with their friends. For those who have not brought any toy this week, parents please remember to allow your child to bring a toy next week so that he too can show his friends.
Song of the week
I hear thunder, I hear thunder.
Oh don’t you! Oh don’t you! Pitter, patter rain drop, pitter patter rain drop. I’m wet through, I’m wet through, so are YOU!
We introduced the letter sound ‘t’ as in terrapin. Most children were very brave and attempted to touch and hold the terrapin. Kudos to Dexton, Amelia and Markus who have the courage to hold the terrapin.
