Give a Plant
There was a free giveaway Magic Bonsai DIY Kit to 10 fan members yesterday at the "Give a Plant" pushcart at Orchard Central. DL and I decided to try our luck at lunch time and we were so excited we were the first ones to get the free bonsai.
I just set it up and the man at the pushcart told us to pour the packet of 'special' water, open up the leaves (I didn't know the leaf colour will stain my fingers) and wait for 8 to 12 hours for it to bloom.
Let's just wait and see.
You may visit the facebook page here if you are interested in cute little plants such as marimos: https://www.facebook.com/giveaplant

The 5 Love Languges of Children
From the book "The 5 Love Languages of Children"
Jasmine lend me this book and told me that it provided her great insights on communication with her two girls. It is indeed, an awesome book, everybody should read this.
After reading the first chapter - Physical Touch, I then realise why does Dylan demands his hugs and kisses every night without fail.
Physical touch, the most common way of showing your affection, is also the most basic way of showing your love to your child, it is an important part of children's emotional needs. Some children who lacks paternal affection would become angry and upset.
I felt very guilty instantly of failing to give Dylan more. His behaviour has got nothing wrong, I now can understand that over the years he grew up not having met his emotional needs thus creating his current angry behaviour. All he wants is just that attention from us, the quality time together with us, that physical touch from us, that to his understanding equates to love. Everybody needs that love, in one way or another, the feeling of being wanted, being accepted, being loved.
