The children learnt ‘pink’ for colour this week.

During the presentation, teacher showed them three colours such as ‘brown, green and pink’ and ask them to repeat after the teacher.

Some children were able to distinguish the three colours! The teacher asked them to name the colours again and emphasize on the colour 'pink'.

The other two colours were taught last week. As a follow up lesson, the children explored ‘pink’ by printing it with blocks of different shapes.

This term the children are learning more on other shapes, colours and transportation.

During art and craft session teachers helped them do a collage work (colouring, tearing & pasting) on the heart shape.

Seeing the children enjoying this activity really makes the lesson worth exploring.

Bowling

They went to visit their new pets at pasir ris farm, and since they are already in the east, so we went for bowling at safra tampines. The bowling alleys here are very oily, the balls are almost floating on oil.

Dylan's new found friend at the bowling alley, they shared their toy cars and tidbits.

We introduced the last letter sound for this term which is the letter sound ‘l’ as in lollipop, lion, lemon, limo and etc.

KUDOS to all of them who were able to identify the items given. To further enhance the lesson, the children also explored with their sense of taste, touch and smell.

The teacher encouraged them to feel the skin of the lemon and emphasize the word ‘rough’. Some even tried to smell it. Subsequently, the teacher allowed them to taste the lemon by squeezing some juice and prompt them to taste it. It is good to record different facial expression!!. This is a good opportunity as they love exploring with their taste buds!

Thank you markus for contributing your toy limo for this lesson of letter sound 'L'.

The children made a lollipop using recycled materials such as newspaper and an ice cream stick.

They crushed the newspaper into a ball, the teachers helped to secure it with masking tape and the children decorated it with their favourite colour paints.
