Balloons
Came across this balloons supplier, I decided to blog about it, and who knows, maybe I need its service one day. It is actually located near my work place, the place is pretty ulu, not convenient at all, they sell to retail outlets more, but they also do walk-in, its cheaper to buy here than in retail outlets, wholesale price.

School update 22-25 Sep
This week, the children were introduced the last letter of the term which was the letter sound ‘h’ as in horse, house, hello, hands and etc.
Below are some pictures taken during the process of making a scenery of a horse galloping on the grass. The grass effect was done by finger printing and the children coloured the picture of a horse. KUDOS to them as they were also able to identify the letter sound ‘h’ to the picture of a horse.
Some children started working on more complex materials such as the dressing frame, screwing & unscrewing of bolts & nuts and spooning of beans from a bowl to 2 unequal bowls.

Durian mooncake
Durian mooncakes from goodwood park hotel
Look at the prints, or can you even see any prints?
I am not a durian fan, and when someone show me the durian mooncake from goodwood park hotel, I am amazed that the shape of the mooncake is somewhat distorted. You can't even tell there's any print on the mooncake, just an oblong shape of pastry I would guess. After some examination and tasting session for this durian mooncake, we concluded it is not that good as compared to the good reviews given by others.
Our mooncake gang are all mooncakes expert already.

On Tuesday, the children had lots of fun and exciting moment witnessing the making of chocolate cornflakes cookies and listening to stories on how the Muslims celebrate Hari Raya Aidilfitri.
Dylan, Mohin, Dexton and Amelia happily volunteered to wear the Malay costumes.
Below are some pictures taken during the mini celebration.
We would like to wish all Muslim Teachers and Children 'Selamat Hari Raya Aidilfitri!'!

We introduced letter sound ‘d’ to the children this week. Amanda, Markus, Dexton, Caden, Caleb, Ryan, Natalie and Amelia were able to say the letter sound ‘d’. Edric, Dylan, Joen, Jenna and Mohin, were able to say the name of the item they picked from the treasure bag. Well done PG!!
This week, we introduced number rod 9 to the children. By now most of them are able to count from 1 to 5.
OTP
Ah yi brought me and rujie to out of the pan, for short, called OTP. Luckily she's entitled to a 50% staff discount, or else I won't even think of coming to eat here. You won't be able to find the standard kind of western meal here. OTP serves crepes, salads, soups, and desserts only (that's what I see in the menu). It's nice to come here to eat once in a blue moon, too much of crepes will probably make me sick.

School update 31-4 Sep
Hello everyone! My name is Joen Chow. Give me a few more days and we will be best of friends.
For math lesson, the children learnt the colour, grey.
During the demonstration, Ms Yana showed them two colours, white and black. She mixed the black and white paint to become grey.
The children were surprised and fascinated with the new colour.
They used the grey paint to paint the square on the worksheet.
We introduced language words inside/outside to the children. We used a container that is big enough for a child to sit in it.

Our motive for coming to the mall is to find slippers for boy, he has always been wearing those kind of sandals he bought from his camp, but those sandals really stink like skunks. He finally can't stand it himself and decided to buy new ones. He tried to accept the normal kind of slippers which you have to 'kiap' in between your big toe and second toe, found a comfortable kind in isetan and we bought 2 pairs, one for him and one for me. A pair at $39.90! This is definitely my most expensive pair of slippers.
