37 weeks

Was looking forward to this appointment so much. Did the CTG to check baby's heartbeat, but only to be told by doctor that I am having strong contractions, which I don't feel at all. Currently dilated 2 cm only, to return to see Dr. Heng again 1 week from now. The CTG took half an hour, then I waited another 20 minutes to see my gynae, I was starving by then. To go to the hospital immediately if my water broke, have excessive bleeding, or very bad contractions. Small amount of bleeding now is normal.

What to bring to the hospital (as instructed):

• Dressing gown / pyjamas for myself
• Clothings / wrapping blanket for baby
• Nursing bra
• Slippers
• Toiletries - comb, bath gel, toothbrush, toothpaste, powder etc.
• Identity card / passport
• Marriage certificate (copy)
• $1,000 deposit for my 2 bedder delivery package (the rest will be claimed from Medisave)

The very first time I see the baby move in the ultra scan, I can actually see the baby sucking, aww... it is an amazing experience.

Treated to lunch from Ling & Joyce (Kelly is out of town). Ling is late and so is the food. Waited pretty long for the food because of the lunch crowd or are they just being slow? Ling had the same food as me while Joyce had her sirloin's steak on hotplate. We were famished...

After lunch, we went window shopping and I found many new shops, seems like its been ages since I visit the mall. The shopping experience is really a good way to motivate me to slim down. All the clothes, shoes, bags I seen all seems so appealing, oh my... I feel so deprived~~

Zi Cha Dinner

Ah yi's treat to dinner. The zi char stall is located in a food court like kopitiam.

Rating: 6.5/10 (gong bao taste not strong enough, prawns I think is slightly overcooked)


'Ah sum' fish head
Rating: 7/10 (boy say fish head always can't satisfy him, too little meat)

Rating: 6.5/10 (the sweet and sour sauce is too bland)


Salad you tiao
Rating: 9/10 (I love this, but the salad as seen is not enough)

As always, the dinner is filled with cantonese conversation among the adults (I am not one?), which I cannot understand. So throughout, I just had my food and indulge in my own world, with the kopitiam TV entertaining me.

Happy Birthday to me

Met up with ah mei and liru at Causeway Point food court for lunch (very broke or else would probably have a nice lunch at some restaurant), a catch up session, haven't seen them since last year August.

Mummy cooked a sumptuous dinner, I always forgot about taking pictures. When I finished eating, I felt something stuck in my throat which I thought is fishbone, luckily is not ahh, scared me! Mummy tried to act doctor be using touchlight and a "butter spread knife" to inspect my throat... haha (I nearly vomitted). Bought daddy a box of brief (Jiayi paid) for Father's day from Bum Equipment. Went to Prime supermarket after dinner, mummy helped me pay for the things I took. Thank you everybody~

35 wks

Went for my appointment on Friday. Dr. Heng mentioned I can give birth in another 2 weeks time. The baby isn't receiving enough nutrients as seen in his weight gain. Baby weigh 2.1 kg at my previous appointment, 2 weeks later he only manage to gain another 200g which is too little. As compared to my size, baby still seems too small. Doctor also mentioned that through the ultra scan, it looks like the placenta is reaching maturity meaning I am near~~ My next appointment is 2 weeks later and if by then, the baby still didn't grow much, meaning he is unable to receive nutrients then Dr. Heng said she will arrange for me to give birth le. Excited?

I love to attend other people's wedding, it is a joyous event worth the crowd and of course the food which I am looking forward to. The solemnisation was held at 11 am. Few people was present except for some friends and immediate family. I think it would be better if they held the solemnisation in the evening so that everybody else can witness.


Will you take this man/woman to be your wedded husband/wife, to live together in the legal estate of matrimony? Will you love him, comfort him, honour and keep him in sickness and in health and forsaking all others, be faithful to him, so long as you both shall live?


In token and pledge of our constant faith and abiding love, with this ring I marry you.
*whispers* = eh you grow fat ah, cannot put in the ring ley...

We left the chalet after this and went to Sin Ming industrial estate to pick up our CD player, and also conveniently to pick up annie aunt and ah boon aunt to the chalet.

The buffet people arrived at 5.30 pm, boy was hungry by then but dared not touch the food till somebody else start the food war. I heard the food is enough to cater to 100 people, in the end I saw like half of the food left untouch, so I tabao for my meals for the next day.


This is the nicer food with beehoon, fried rice, broccoli with mushrooms, sweet and sour fish, cereal prawns, all gone too soon, unable to tabao.

They had tables set up so nobody had to worry they have no seats for food.

The tea ceremony held after everybody had their dinner, had to wait for the late comers, therefore so late.
